Ein Baum soll bei einer Simulationsfällung innerhalb von 90 Sekunden möglichst nahe an eine vorgegebene Zielrichtung in 15 Meter Entfernung gefällt werden. Dabei müssen die Vorgaben der Arbeitstechnik und die gültigen Bestimmungen der Arbeitssicherheit eingehalten werden.

A tree must be cut down within 90 seconds on a simulator, which is aimed to fall as near as possible to a pre-determined felling direction. During the discipline, one must work within the valid safety regulations and working techniques.

Il concorrente deve cercare di tagliare un albero in modo preciso in 90 secondi con un abbattimento simulato in una direzione die caduta prestabilita. Nel contempo deve osservare le prescrizioni vigenti sulla sicurezza del lavoro.

Kettenwechsel = Fitting another chain = Cambio della catena

Bei einer einsatzbereiten Motorsäge wird die Schneidegarnitur abgenommen, die Schiene gewendet und die Kette ausgewechselt. Dabei muss die Schneidegarnitur so montiert werden, dass die Säge mit richtiger Kettenspannung wieder so einsatzbereit ist, dass die beiden nachfolgenden Disziplinen ohne Nachmontage ausgeführt werden können.

With a ready to use chainsaw, one must dismantle and assemble the cutting apparatus. The chain must be taken off, the bar must be turned and another chain must be fitted. The new chain must be fitted so that the chainsaw is ready to use in the two following disciplines without adjustments.

In questa discipina il dispositivo della sega deve essere smontato e rimontato. A continuazione devo essere eseguite le 2 specialità successive (taglio combinato e taglio di precisione) senza l’esecuzione di alcuna modifica nella sega.

Kombinationsschnitt = Bucking by combined cuts = Taglio combinato

Von zwei Stammrollen wird je eine 30 bis 80 mm dicke Holzscheibe abgeschnitten. Dabei muss zuerst bis in die Mitte des Stammes von unten und dann von oben gesägt werden. Die meisten Punkte erhält der Teilnehmer, wenn beide Schnitte ohne Versatz in den seitlichen Markierungsstreifen aufeinandertreffen und der Schnitt rechtwinklig zur Stammachse geführt wurde.

From two logs, one must cut a disc of wood no thinner than 30 mm and no thicker than 80 mm. This must be done by cutting the first half upwards from beneath the log and the second half from the top. The contestant gets the highest points when the upper and downward cuts meet each other, without a step, within the marked red zone and at right-angles to the length of the log.

Il partecipante deve tagliare da ciascuno dei due tronchi un disco di legno che non può essere più sottile di 3 cm e più spesso di 8 cm. Inoltre deve tagliare sui due tronchi dapprima la prima metà da sotto fino alla fascia di colore rosso, poi il resto da sopra. Il taglio in ogni tronco deve essere effettuato perpendicolarmente all’asse longitudinale del legno

rotondo e deve incontrare l’altro sullo stesso piano. Durante il taglio ascensionale non può essere superata la linea superiore della fascia rossa.

Contemporaneamente però il concorrente deve prestare attenzione a tagliare almeno fino al limite segnato in rosso.

Präzisionsschnitt = Precision bucking = Taglio di precisione

Von zwei Stammrollen wird je eine 30 - 80 mm dicke Holzscheibe mit einem rechtwinklig zur Stammachse liegenden Schnitt von oben abgesägt. Der Bewerber versucht die Scheibe möglichst vollständig abzutrennen, ohne dabei das darunter liegende Brett zu verletzen, was zu einer Disqualifikation für den Versuch führen würde. Die Aufgabe wird durch eine Sägemehlschicht erschwert, welche die Kontaktzone der Stammrolle zum Unterlagenbrett verdeckt.

From two logs, one must aim to completely cut off a disc between 30 and 80 mm thickness. The disc must be cut at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the stem. The contestant must try to cut the whole disc without damaging the board. Damaging the board will lead to zero points for the accuracy of the cut. The discipline will be performed while the log is in a thin layer of sawdust that hides where the log contacts the surface of the board.

Il partecipante deve tagliare quanto più possibile completamente da ciascuno di due tronchi un disco di legno senza danneggiare l’asse che sta sotto. Lo spessore dei dischi deve misurare tra 3 e 8 cm. Il taglio deve essere condotto verticalmente rispetto all’asse longitudinale del tronco

Entasten = Limbing = Sramatura

Auf zylindrisch abgedrehten Stämmen werden 30 runde Äste in einem für alle Teilnehmer gleichem Muster und gleichem Gesamtdurchmesser eingesetzt. Diese Äste müssen mit der Motorsäge gefahrlos, stammeben und so schnell wie möglich abgetrennt werden.

In a cylindrically trimmed stem, 30 round branches, all equal in diameter and branching pattern, will be placed, to be cut off by the contestant. The branches must be cut level with the stem, as quickly and as safely as possible.

Per la sramatura viene preparato un tronco cilindrico scortecciato con 30 rami per ogni partecipante. Il partecipante cerca di segare via i rami a filo tronco nel miglior tempo possibile e senza danneggiare il tronco.
